Introduction
The Java Neo 3 Trifold 16" was first available in November 2025. It is a tri-fold bike that features a coaxial bottom bracket, internal cabling, hydraulic disk brakes, 6061-T1 aluminium frame, integrated headset, Shimano Sora rear derailleur, Altus shifters and 349 wheelset. It weighs approximately 9.9kg and was initially available for S$699 through Singapore retailers.
In December 2025 the 20" version was announced with a weight of 10.6kg (launch price S$799 in Singapore), together with several colour options for the 16" and a full carbon variant of the 16". An electronic shifting 12-speed version was also made available.
Variants
Newer versions of the bike feature some changes over the earlier production models.
Front brake hoses are now longer.
Pedal QR can only be released at a specific rotation to prevent accidental release.
The front frame tube has a segment opening instead of round.
Known Issues
Rolling interference
In some cases while rolling the bike when folded, the front wheel may touch the crank arm causing it to rotate and eventually interfering with the roll. To mitigate this issue, fold the bike in the lowest gear (largest sprocket). Installing a 3rd party hook extender may also help reduce interference.
Hook abrasion
The hook may cause scratches on the rear triangle when folded. To mitigate this issue, install a protector where the hook engages the rear triangle.
Brake hose length
When installing a higher rise handlebar, the front brake hose may be too short causing problems when folded. The brake hose will have to be replaced or lengthened. This issue was fixed in subsequent revisions (sometimes known as V2) of the bike.
Suspension block clearance
The suspension block may touch the ground when rolling folded if the bike is tilted backwards.
